With a fixed gear bike, if you want your bike to move, you have to pedal.
The speed of a fixed gear bike just depends on how fast or slow you pedal.
With road bikes, they're the same as a sing-speed but they have gears for you to switch with while you're riding.
The gears will help you move up a mountain easily or gears to help you go on smooth ground.
